Faux Finishes

November 1, 2020 //  by Admin

Dining Room FauxThe walls in this Westlake home were ragged and then individual motifs were stenciled in metallics here and there for added interest.
Dining RoomTrompe l'oeil moldings and an all-over repeat add interest to this Westlake Village dining room. On the left, there is a glimpse of one of the walls that were troweled with a stone texture to match the tiled floors.
Santa Rosa PearlescentThis faux sparkles in the dining room light with a subtle design.
SconceThese Lake Sherwood panels were fauxed to coordinate with the marble floor. The molding and sconces were painted in metallics to match.
Faux AlligatorThis fantasy faux alligator skin was done in a Moorpark game room; its caramel color harmonizing with the decor.
Faux StoneThis wall in a Santa Rosa Highlands powder room was fauxed to match the stone fireplace in the family room.
Faux StoneThis aged wall is in a breakfast room in Newbury Park. The stone matches the fireplace in the adjacent room which helps to unify the open floor plan.
BeamsThese beams were fauxed and stenciled in a home in The Oaks in Calabasas.
Metallic StrieThis Brentwood room was basecoated metallic Champagne and then given a "tarnish" strie.
StrieA two-tone strie for a Beverly Hills living room.
Wine Room Faux
3-Color Rag3 different colors were used to create interest in a Calabasas powder room. The strie below the bronze chair rail coordinated with the wooden floors in the hallway.
Aged CrackleThis North Ranch powder room was given an aged, heavy glaze with crackle accents.
Basic ColorwashThis Moorpark bedroom was given a basic colorwash with the back wall done in a stronger, accent color.
Westlake Village BedroomThis Westlake Village client wanted a painted faux finish that coordinated with the Venetian plaster in the bathroom. The walls were given a heavy two-step treatment and the ceiling was given a light glaze.
Metallic EmbroideryA high-end finish with embossed stenciling and metallic paints.
Doorway
Powder RoomThis Simi powder room was inspired by the painted cabinet. A simple black oval frame was painted with beads and the medallion was painted on the wall behind it, giving it a dimensional look. The walls were fauxed red with warm silver motifs. The wainscoting was antiqued with warm silver accents. The cornice box was painted to look like tufted fabric with cording.
Faux MarbleThis Hollywood hallway was fauxed to match the marble in the bathroom and trimmed in faux bois to coordinate with panels throughout the space.
